Vice-President of Professional Services

Job Summary

The Vice President of Professional Services leads the organization responsible for the pre-sales, sales, post-deployment solution consultancy and deploying strategic consulting around everse practice solutions to clients. Ultimately, Professional Services is responsible for selling and delivering of our strategic solutions and assures satisfied everse clients. The Vice President of Professional Services will report to the CEO and will be a key member of the executive team.

Responsibilities

  • The Vice President of Professional Services will build a new organization that works closely with Business Development, Engagement Management, Alliances, Marketing, and Global Delivery to ensure a delivery of our solution is consistent with the client's expectations. This department is responsible for selling strategic consulting services, performing the client-specific needs analysis, developing assessments, providing thought leadership, staff augmentation, providing subject matter expertise, cultivating client relationships, and supporting the clients? post-deployment. Post-deployment support includes solutions consultancy, on-going analytical reporting and needs analysis. The Vice President, working closely with the management team, identifies priorities that strike a balance between cost efficient delivery and cultivating loyal clients. He/She will manage a team of service professionals that include the pre-sales and post-deployment solution consultancy, practice management, and strategic consultants.
  • The VP of PS will Lead the professional services organization with the goal of successful solution fulfillment and high client loyalty. Work in tandem with the marketing, sales, and GDM organization to ensure consistency across all client communication channels regarding solutions and everse?s overall strategy. The ultimate goal is an accelerated sales cycle.
  • Define, design, develop, and deploy comprehensive professional services sales and staffing plan. The VP of PS will have 3 distinct practices that consist of 8 service lines. The VP will be responsible for driving strategic revenue through new client acquisitions, alliances, and relationships.
  • Provide solutions consultancy expertise and the foundational knowledge base that will promote ongoing career development and opportunities for Solutions Consultants and professional services professionals.
  • Personally build client relationships and the comprehensive and deep understanding of their business and marketplace that models world-class service and best-practices.
  • Build and scale the professional services organization around the primary objective of efficient delivery of solutions in the client?s workplace. Work with Global delivery to plan capacities, to manage client business requirements, to deploy resources, and to deliver everse solutions with high quality, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Work with everse team leaders to deliver vertical solutions to the market. Develop consulting plan that quickly integrates everse solutions into the client organization. The ultimate goal is to achieve accelerated sales and deployment cycle.
  • Coordinate post-deployment consultancy and account management with team to ensure total customer satisfaction and continued revenue opportunities.
  • Create a client satisfaction measurement process and work with executive management to establish goals and progress reports.
  • Monitor competition and make changes to keep everse services competitive.
  • Work with Global Delivery to optimize deployment timelines. Build a revenue stream for all change order activities.
  • Implement tools and metrics to assure projects are efficiently managed. Monitor organizational performance and take corrective action based on well established metrics.

Key Result Areas

  • Highest level of independent decision making that impacts the company as well as the Professional Services team. Decisions have significant business impact. Work at the most senior levels both inside and outside the company. Interface with CEO and leaders within our client's organization and at everse. Significant responsibility in setting company budgets/plans as well as managing the Professional Services team. Impact crosses all organization boundaries in the company. Emphasis on profits, utilization, revenue, client satisfaction, and client retention.
Qualifications & Experience

  • The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred, with at least 6-8 years of consecutive sales experience and proven track record of success, prior experience managing P&L and growing information technology consulting businesses, and proven ability to potentially drive new customer sales in an annual excess of $5-10 million
  • 7-10 years of executive management including budgetary and operational responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success in mapping the appropriate services and methodologies in a growing, mid-sized, IT services and software solutions provider.
  • Experience at a management consulting firm is desired.
  • Successful application and balance of strategies for hiring, outsourcing and managing of strategic consulting resources.
  • Strong experience with consulting in the IT consulting space and offshore development.
  • Human capital management industries experience a significant plus.
  • Track record of effectively managing employee performance through measurable objectives.
  • Managing multiple tasks, often with competing deadlines.
  • Making effective presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Developing, implementing, interpreting and explaining applicable rules and regulations.
  • Preparing clear, concise and informative reports, correspondence and other written materials.
  • Handling difficult and sensitive situations using sound, independent judgment within general policy and legal guidelines.
